SHOPIAN, JULY 04: District Development
Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Aijaz, today convened a meeting of district and
sectoral officers to review the pace of various developmental projects in the
district.
The DDC was informed about the progress made under various programmes
like Annual Plan, Public Awareness Camps, Training Programme, Skill Development
Programme, and Capacity Building.
He also
reviewed the progress achieved under existing schemes in Agriculture,
Horticulture, Wildlife Protection, Geology & Mining, State Forest
Corporation, Horticulture Planning & Marketing, Higher Education, Social
Welfare and Integrated Child Development Scheme and stressed the officers to
organize training in the rural areas for motivating people living in far-flung
area to avail the benefits of various welfare schemes and programmes.
The DDC said a comprehensive plan would be
devised involving various Departments for skill development under various
schemes to generate employment avenues for the unemployed youth in an integrated manner.
He stressed
on ensuring proper utilization of funds besides implementation of all the
decisions taken in the previous DDB meetings.
Among others,
Chief Planning Officer, Principal Government Degree College, District Programme
Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Wildlife
Warden, District Mineral Officer, In-charge SFC, District Horticulture Planning
& Marketing Officer, District Social Welfare Officer and other officers of
the district were present in the meeting.
