Delhi Police has apprehended a 26-year-old man from near Peeragarhi Metro Station here and recovered 104-kg of ganja worth Rs 12-lakh from him. According to a police official, on receiving tip-off regarding huge quantity of ganja, a trap was laid at laid at main Rohtak Road near Peeragarhi Metro Station on Saturday.


New Delhi, Jul 17 :  Delhi Police has apprehended a 26-year-old man from near Peeragarhi Metro Station here and recovered 104-kg of ganja worth Rs 12-lakh from him. According to a police official, on receiving tip-off regarding huge quantity of ganja, a trap was laid at laid at main Rohtak Road near Peeragarhi Metro Station on Saturday. At around 1940 hrs, a car arrived from Rohini side which was signalled to halt for verification but the driver tried to flee by speeding up. However, the car was stopped and one person, Kapil, was arrested. "On checking the car huge quantity of ganja in four bundles was recovered from the rear seat and booty. On weighing, it was found to be 104-kg worth Rs 12-lakh," he stated. The official said that during sustained interrogation Kapil stated that he has purchased the ganja to sell it to various sources.
