BARAMULLA, JULY 21: A 2-Day
training programme for Retainer Panel lawyers of North Kashmir was organized by
District legal Services authority Baramulla today at Dak Bungalow Baramulla under
the supervision of Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal
District & Session Judge Baramulla) Syed Tawqeer Ahmad.
The programme was presided by, Secretary District Legal Services Authority (Munsif Baramulla) Fayaz Ahmad
Quraishi.
Highlighting the mandate of the J&K State Legal Services Authority
to provide free legal aid to the people, the training programme aims to
sensitize lawyers about their responsibilities to plead cases with empathy and
regard.
Speaking
on the occasion, Secretary , Qurashi reiterated the need to strength the
overall functioning of District Legal Services Authority to make it more
effective, relevant and thereby legal aid accessible to all needy and
deserving.
Pertinent
to mention here, J&K Legal Services Authority has established a network of
District Legal Services Authority to provide free and competent legal aid to
the poor and to organize Lok Adalats for promoting equal justice.
