patients visited and 250 medical tests conducted
BARAMULLA, JULY 05: A free Screening-Cum- Medical camp was
today inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash at
Danisaydian a remote village of Uri of Baramulla District.
The camp was organized by the Chief Medical Officer Baramulla
Dr. Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo in collaboration with BMO Uri, National
Mobile Medical Unit and NCD.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner
Dr. Nasir Naqash said that such camps shall also be organized at
other various villages so that the specialist facilities are being
made available at doorstep. He also highlighted the importance
of conducting medical camps and said that such events
benefit the poor sections of the society who are not able to tolerate the
burden of medical expenses.
CMO on the
event briefed the Deputy Commissioner that
various medical specialists including ENT, Orthopedics, Preadritics,
and dermatology were made available in this camp. On the event, about 850
patients from zamoorpattan, Choolan, Daragoutlian visited
the camp and availed the medical benefits being available
there. It was said that about 250 medical tests of different natures
were also conducted. Free medicines were also distributed among the
patients.
Later on
Block Medical Officer Uri expresseed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner and
CMO for conducting the camp in the area.
