Elderly man killed in mishap

Srinagar, Jul 22 : An elderly man was killed and his minor grand-daughter was injured in a road accident in north Kashmir district of Baramulla today. Official sources said that a tractor hit a vehicle in Seelu in Baramulla, resulting in on the spot death of an elderly man, identified as Ghulam Ahmad Mir, and injuries to his minor grand-daughter. The injured was immediately taken to a hospital, they said. After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites, they added. Meanwhile, police has registered a case against the tractor driver, who fled from the spot. UNI
