Minor boy killed by leopard in south Kashmir village

Srinagar, Jul 22 : A minor boy was attacked and killed by a leopard in a village in south Kashmir district of Pulwama. Official sources told  that a leopard entered Banderpora village late in the evening yesterday. But, before the villagers could react, the leopard attacked and took away an 8-year-old boy, identified as Hazim, from outside his house. They said villagers informed the police and organized searches in the woods till mid-night, but could not find the boy. Today the mutilated body of the boy was recovered from the bushes, they said. After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. UNI
