UDHAMPUR,
JULY 04: Principal District and Sessions Judge Udhampur, Mr. K. S. Parihar, who
is also the Chairman of District Legal Services Authority Udhampur today
inaugurated a Free Legal
Aid Clinic in the premises of Jagriti Old Age Home, Udhampur.
Sub- Judge
Mobile Magistrate Rajni Sharma, President Bar Association Udhampur Surinder Khajuria, Retainer lawyers
and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Parihar
assured that the free legal aid clinic would provide all kind of legal support
to the Old Age Home. He stressed that the Government has launched a number of
social welfare schemes for the old and the clinic would help in generating
awareness about these schemes so that the deserving could avail full benefit of
these schemes.
He said that
similar Free Legal
aid clinic would also be opened at Latti soon so that the people of far-flung
areas could also be made aware of various schemes being run by Government for
the welfare of poor and needy.
