BANDIPORA, AUGUST 23: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora today convened a meeting to review the arrangements for smooth conduct of State Senior Men Volleyball Championship, being held at S K Sports Stadium, Bandipora from September 16 to September 18.
The championship is being hosted by Jammu and Kashmir Volleyball Association in coordination with District Volleyball Association, Bandipora under the aegis of District Administration.
It was given out in the meeting that 17 teams including seven from Jammu division are participating in the championship. More than 200 players, coaches and other officials are attending the event for which District Administration is providing all boarding and lodging facilities.
The meeting also discussed various issues to facilitate the guest teams properly including provision of water and power supply in the area. Security arrangements were also reviewed for which the police department was asked to ensure foolproof arrangements.
Among others, Executive Member J&K Volleyball Association and Senior National Volleyball Coach, Representatives of various colleges, Secretary Volleyball Association Bandipora and other concerned attended the meeting.
