REASI, AUGUST 5: Minister of State for Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda
today said that the government is striving to make provision for basic
facilities and resolve the issues of the people at their doorsteps for which
all out efforts were being made.
The Minister was interacting with the locals during a tour of the Reasi
town undertaken to inspect the development works. He stressed on the need for
taking concrete steps to achieve the development targets set under different
sectors.
The Minister was accompanied by District Development Commissioner
Ravinder Kumar, ACD M.Y. Malik and other officers of district administration.
Ajay Nanda also visited to various places of proposed construction works
in Reasi district. Some public deputations also met him and projected issues of
their areas.
The Minister instructed the ACD to take up necessary development works
of foot paths, ponds, protection walls, crate laying, upgrading of public
utilities to improve living condition in the rural areas.
The Minister directed the concerned officers to redress problems of the
people on priority and create awareness among about the schemes of
their departments so that public can take benefits of these welfare programmes.
