Chandigarh, Aug 3 :  Haryana government has decided to carry out beautification and renovation drive at War Memorial, Narnaul, to attract more visitors. Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma today said Chief Minister Manohar Lal has approved a proposal of Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department to this effect. The War Memorial, constructed in year 1995, would be renovated at a cost of Rs 14.45 lakh. He said names of martyrs would be engraved on black granite in the War Memorial. Besides, the stone of Memorial would be replaced with white marble or kota stone after rearranging the sand. The height of boundary wall would be raised alongwith the provision of iron grill. He said funds for renovation would be arranged from Haryana Defence and Security Relief Fund. UNI
