Chandigarh, Aug 3 :  Haryana government would soon roll out Auxiliary Nursing Midwife Online (ANMOL) tablet-based application in seven districts on a pilot basis. Health Minister Anil Vij today said the application, a Union Government initiative, would facilitate capture of real time data of population survey and RCH service delivery given to pregnant women and children by ANMs. The districts where it would be launched are Gurugram, Mahendragarh, Kaithal, Yamuna Nagar, Karnal, Hissar and Jind, he said. The Aadhaar-enabled ANMOL would aim at bringing better healthcare services to millions of pregnant women, mothers and newborns in India. The application ends drudgery and repetitive processes for ANMs by making their work paperless. They can use the tablets to enter and update the service records real time data of beneficiaries, the Minister said. Since it is a completely digitised process, the high quality of data and its accountability are maintained. Apart from these facilities, women and couples can be counselled using audio and videos on ANMOL tablets on subjects like high risk pregnancy, immunization and family planning. ANMOL aims at improving the quality, effectiveness and timeliness of the delivery of quality services, specifically to the rural population, to ensure better healthcare for women and children. UNI
