The Minister, who is also a local MLA, announced Rs 1.20 lakh for repair of old water reservoir, Rs 2.80 lakhs for construction of tin shed at cricket ground and Rs 5 lakh for construction of crematorium from his CDF.
Mr Dorjay also visited various on-going developmental projects and directed the concerned officials to increase the pace of work so that people get benefited.
It is the prime concern of the Government to enhance the basic facilities to the people of the state especially in Ladakh region as they belong to a different topographical and geographical area, he said.
He also visited site of the circular road of Alchi upto Shangling being constructed at a cost of Rs 5.50 lakh and the 72 metre long Gyara Bridge being constructed at the cost of Rs 5.65 crore out of which Rs 4.50 crores were spent. He also visited the on-going work on Mangyu to Zoom-Sapta sanctioned under NABARD at the cost of Rs 2.70 crore.
The Minister assured the people that every genuine demand will be fulfilled. He said that super-structure of Basgo-Umlung Bridge will be taken up with NHPC, construction of Alchi Dok road under NABARD, display site with the Tourism Department to be undertaken under PMDP. The Minister also assured of early redress of water supply scheme, minor irrigation headwork will be completed through Rural Development department soon.
The Minister gave directions to PHE officials for preparing of a DPR for new water supply scheme for Alchi village and instructed I&FC for early restoration of main irrigation and head works.UNI
