New Delhi, Aug 8 :  Amid a walkout by Samajwadi Party members, noisy scenes continued to rock the Rajya Sabha leading to its adjournment for the sixth and final time in the post-lunch session today over the demonetisation issue. Earlier the House was adjourned four times following protests by the Opposition Congress and Trinamool Congress claiming that various sizes of currency notes were being printed by the RBI forcing adjournment till 1300 hrs. In the post-lunch session, the currency issue resurfaced as soon as the House reconvened with Congress members raising the issue again. Deputy Chairman P J Kurien asked the Opposition to give notice but they began shouting anti-government slogans which was countered by BJP members gathered near the aisle. As the noisy scenes continued, Prof Kurien adjourned the House till 1430 hrs. When again the House reconvened, amid the resumed slogan shouting by Congress members who had entered into the Well, Naresh Agrawal of the SP could be heard telling the Chair that the matter was a very serious but since the Government was not willing to answer, his party members were walking out. Despite the Chair's pleas to Congress Members to give a notice for a discussion on the matter, the slogan shouting continued forcing the Chair to adjourn the House for the day.
