Patna, Aug 19 : Amid high voltage drama of a parallel convention organised by estranged JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav, his alleged supporters attacked leaders and workers of JD(U) outside 1 Anne Marg, the official residence of Bihar Chief Minister, where national executive meeting of the party is being held today. An unruly cluster of supporters of estranged JD(U) leader Mr Yadav, attacked leaders and workers waiting outside 1 Anne Marg, where national executive meeting of JD(U) was under progress.They were waiting to enter the venue during national council meeting which was to be held soon after national executive meeting, as some of them were district JD(U) presidents, who were also members of national council. Heavy deployment of security forces were made in view of national executive meeting at official residence of Chief Minister where presence of adequate policemen is a routine affair. Policemen deployed there,controlled the situation from taking its ugly turn. Some of the scribes and cameramen of various news channels present there to cover the event, also sustained minor injuries in the attack. Meanwhile, RJD spokesman Mritunjay Tiwary said it was government of Chief Minister Mr Kumar who is known for rule of law. Where the commitment of "Sushashan Babu" had vanished, he said making a veiled attack on Chief Minister and described it as complete failure of administration. He also condemned the incident dubbed it as an attack on democracy.There was no place for violence in democracy, he remarked. UNI
