Mahoba, Aug 9 : The BJP government in Uttar Pradesh today organised blood donation camps in all 75 districts of state to commemorate the diamond jubilee of August Kranti Day. After holding a week-long blood testing programme at the block level in all the districts, the BJP, which is celebrating the birth centenary of party ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, is also releasing the 'blood donor directory' today. While Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would release the blood donor directory in Gorakhpur, state BJP president and deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya would do the same in Kanpur today. Both the leaders will also inaugurate Blood banks in government hospitals in Gorakhpur and Kanpur respectively. State BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak, who is camping in Mahoba and released the blood donor directory here, claimed that this directory would help the poor in particular to get blood free of cost from the blood donors. He said almost all the ministers, who are in-charge of the districts along with senior party leaders, would release the blood donor directory in different districts of the state. "On the 75th year of the August Kranti day, we are trying to provide a big opportunity to the poor to get free blood at their time of any emergency by holding a big blood donation camp in the state and releasing the blood donor directory," Mr Pathak said. The BJP leader claimed that during the blood donation camps, more than 50,000 people have registered themselves for donating their blood. A similar blood donation camp is scheduled to be held in Lucknow tomorrow at the state BJP office. UNI
