Srinagar, Aug 14 : A youth was injured when an explosive device, left behind at an encounter site over a month ago in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, went off this evening.
Official sources said that a group of youth found a live shell at Pulwama’s Bamnoo village, where three militants were killed in an encounter with security forces on July 3.
They said the shell exploded, resulting in burn injuries to a youth, identified as Danish Ahmad.
The injured was immediately taken to a local hospital from where he was referred to SMHS hospital, where his health condition is stated to be stable.UNI
