Srinagar, Sep 13: About 80 unemployed youth in the frontier district of Kupwara in north Kashmir are undergoing life skill and communication training, organised by Army in collaboration with Mahindra Pride School, Srinagar.
        A defence ministry spokesman said here this afternoon that a total of 80 students have enrolled in the two batches being run at Army Youth Centre Charkut and Army Youth Centre Gujjarpatti in the frontier district of Kupwara. 
      He said these youth after undergoing life skill and communication training will be screened as per their capability and selected youth will undergo further specialized training at centres all over the country, further leading to their employment.
        He said the Lolab Rashtriya Rifles(RR) Sector has taken a noble step of providing skill based training for unemployed youth of Lolab in North Kashmir. The training centre is being established in collaboration with Mahindra Pride School, Srinagar as part of Corporate Social Responsibility of Mahindras and Mahindras. 
      He saidThe first two centres at Charkut and Gujjarpatti have commenced training from September 9, 2017.
         While inaugurating, Brig Mohit Trivedi, Commander Lolab Rashriya Rifles Sector said that the youth need to converge their focus on their career. He also added that these skill development centres were an effort by Army to connect with the youth and provide an eco system of Jobs.
               Mr Gurpreet, Project Manager, Mahindra Pride School was also in attendance and spoke about the plans of Mahindra to open these training centres in entire Kashmir with support from Army. UNI
