BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 13: Additional Deputy Commissioner
Bandipora, today inaugurated provincial level inter-college football tournament
at SK sports stadium Bandipora.
As many as six teams from GDC Bandipora, GDC Ganderbal, GDC Sumbal, GDC
Beerva, SP Collage Srinagar and Physical College Ganderbal are participating in
this tournament which will conclude on 17th of this month.
The inaugural match was played
between Physical Education College Ganderbal and GDC Sumbal in which Physical
College Ganderbal defeated GDC Sumbal by 3-1 goals.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC appreciated the organising committee
for holding the event in Bandipora. He said that the games play an important
role in the development of physical fitness of the youth. He exhorted the youth
to vigorously participate in co-curricular activities. The tournament has been
organised by District Football Association Bandipora under the aegis of Union
Ministry of Health under the banner 'Khelo Sehet Ke Liye'.
