Srinagar, Sep 16: Life returned to normal in the Shehar-e-Khas (SeK) and Down Town, Srinagar, where restrictions were imposed early yesterday morning  to prevent any untoward incident following the killing of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) chief Abu Ismail and his associate Abu Qasim in an encounter in city outskirts on September 14. 
             Meanwhile, all gates of historic Jamia Masjid which were closed for the second week (
Friday) yesterday are open for devotees. No Friday could be offered in the Masjid, stronghold of moderate Hurriyat Conference (HC) chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq.  
  The District Magistrate (DM) Srinagar, had imposed restrictions under Section 144 of CrPC in the areas under the jurisdiction of Police Stations, Nowhatta, M R Gunj, Rainawari, Khanyar and Safakadal, in district Srinagar as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incident yesterday. 
  There is no restriction in any of the summer capital, Srinagar, or any other part of the valley, police said.
  The restrictions have been lifted and all road blocks by barbed wire have been removed in the down town and SeK.
  Shops and business establishments reopened and traffic was plying on all routes, including Nallahmar road, which was closed yesterday for any movement.  This was for the second time restrictions were imposed in the down town and SeK in September. However, in August restrictions were imposed frequently in August month to prevent any law and order problem.      
   The administration had closed all educational institutions as a precautionary measure in Srinagar district. However, today educational institutions reopened this morning.  Government offices and banks were also functioning normally. UNI
