| Asks officers to ensure proper arrangements |
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 23: Minister
for Information technology, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports,
Imran Raza Ansari today convened a meeting to review the arrangements relating
to Muharram.
The meeting was attended by the officers of all concerned departments of
district Baramulla.
During the meeting, the minister took stock of the supply position of
various essential commodities in the state, particularly in district Baramulla
and Pattan constituency. The Minister exhorted upon the officers to ensure
proper availability of the necessary commodities during Muharram.
The Minister issued directions to the all the District Development
Commissioners to ensure that all requisite arrangements are made available to
the devotees during these days.
Ansari directed the PHE, PDD, R&B and other concerned departments to
ensure the provision of adequate ration, wood for Imambaras, uninterrupted
power supply, potable drinking water and safe passage of devotees on roads in
Shia populated areas, while performing their religious duties.
He also directed Health Department to ensure availability of life-saving
drugs and installation of medical camps around Imambaras, besides keeping
ambulances ready in case of any mishap.
