Srinagar, Sep 4 : Four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured in a grenade attack by militants on Srinagar-Jammu national highway in south Kashmir this evening.
      An official spokesperson told that militants lobbed a grenade at a patrol part of 163 battalion of CRPF at Qazigund in south Kashmir district of Anantnag this evening.
      He said four CRPF jawan were injured in the attack. The injured were immediately taken to a hospital.
      The militants managed to escape during the chaos created due to the explosion, he said, adding a search operation has been launched in the area to nab the culprits.
      The attack comes hours after two militants of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), including a Divisional Commander, were killed in an encounter with security forces in apple township of Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
      Meanwhile, a top Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militant, identified as Ashfaq Padroo, was killed in an encounter with security forces in south Kashmirs Kulgam district on September 2.UNI
