UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 21: District
Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC), Udhampur today cleared 135 cases under
Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) involving loan
assistance of around Rs 10 crore here at meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner
Ravinder Kumar.
It was given out in the meeting that the cases approved for the current
financial year were sponsored by District Industries Centre, KVIB and KVIC.
The DC enjoined upon the committee to ensure timely disbursement of loan
assistance so that the very purpose of the scheme of providing employment
opportunities to the unemployed youth could be achieved. He also stressed upon
them to organize skill development programmes for the prospective entrepreneurs
in the field of their interest.
Pertinently, the District Level Task Force Committee headed by Deputy
Commissioner and District Officers of DIC, KVIB, KVIC and other financial
institutions as its members scrutinize the cases of unemployed
candidates who are desirous of setting up their own business or income
generating units under PMEGP.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Arvind Sharma, GM DIC Suram Chand
Sharma, CPO Ashok Khajuria and District Officer KVIB Tilak Raj, LDM SBI VS
Negi.
