Rana today Flagged off Swacchta Express from here from new DC office Complex to
create mass awareness about cleanliness across this mountainous district.
The Swacchta Express has been launched as a part of series of events
under fortnightly “Swacchta hi Sewa” campaign. The Mobile publicity campaign organised by Transport
department will generate awareness among the public regarding importance and
benefits of cleanliness, personal and community hygiene and road safety.
Meanwhile a Swacchta Cycle Race and a Swacchta rally of NSS Unit of
Govt. Degree College Kishtwar was also organized which after passing through
the main town areas culminated back at the college campus.
The DDC impressed upon the officers, civil society members, students and
college staff to spread the Swacchta message in every corner of the District
and take pledge to keep the city and whole district pollution free.
The programme was attended by CEO Kishtwar Development Authority, ACD,
DPO, DSWO, CAO, CHO, PO IWMP besides other District and sectoral officer of
various departments.
