UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 21: Thousands
of devotees paid obeisance on the first day of Navratra festival here at
historical Pingla Mata shrine.
The sacred Akhand Jyoti was also lit at Pingla Mata Chabutra.
As per past practice, this year also a grand Shobha Yatra would be taken
out on Sept 23 from Pingla Devi Chabutra to carry Akhand Jyoti to Pingla Mata Shrine
situated on a hill top at Village Pinger, Ramnagar.
The local administration has made elaborate arrangements for security,
drinking water, power, sanitation etc.
