SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 07: A two-day training programme on Basic Methodology on First Aid organized by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), J&K, at J&K Legislative Assembly concluded here today.
Some 65 officers and Watch & Ward staff members of the Assembly Secretariat participated in the programme.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of General Secretary IRCS, J&K while as the training was provided by Programme Manager IRCS, J&K, and First Aid Coordinators, IRCS, J&K. The training programme included training in saving lives in accidents.
The Secretary Assembly, M.R Singh, thanked the Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta and Assembly staff members for their participation and the IRCS for organizing the programme.

The participants were awarded certificates by Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta. Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker emphasized the need for such training programmes and building a large pool of volunteers to help make the Indian Red Cross activities more meaningful. He urged the participants to become volunteers of IRCS and be valuable assets of the society.
