‘Committed to provide basic amenities to people’ |
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 5: Minister
for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today said that the coalition
Government is working on the agenda of development and is committed to provide
basic amenities to the people of State.
Convening a meeting to review pace of various works under Roads and
Building, Public health Engineering and other departments in Chrar-i-Sharief
constituency, Hanjura said that efforts of the coalition Government is to
provide better infrastructure to the people and the Government has already
initiated various developmental works, while as many of them have been
completed.
The Minister said that the Government is making concerted efforts to
provide better road connectivity especially in rural areas of the State.
The Minister was informed that around 16 kms of road length have already
been macadamized in Chrar-i-Sharief constituency this year and work of around
28 kms road length is on progress.
He directed the officials that all the macadamized work should be
completed by October so that better road connectivity would be provided to the
people.
During the meeting, the Minister was informed that Chadora-Nowhar road
from Hanjura to Nowhar, Nowgam to Hayatpora road, Dalwan to Tujan road,
Chrar-i-Sharief to Tilsara road would be completed by October this year.
The Minister directed the officials that Detailed Project Report (DPR)
of Nowgam-Dudhkhatoo road should be prepared so that work on this road project
would also be started.
The Minister was also informed that under PMGSY, the work on Watakuloo-Nilnag
road and Chrar-e-Sharief- Pakharpora road has already been completed.
He also directed Deputy Commissioner Budgam to prepare weekly progress
report of other developmental works executed in the district.
The Minister also directed to work in co-ordination so that better
results would come on ground.
Deputy
Commissioner Budgam, Chief Engineer PMGSY, SE PHE Budgam, Executive Engineer
PHE Chadoora, Executive Engineer RNB Chadoora, Executive Engineer ERA and
Executive Engineer PMGSY were also present in the meeting.
