BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 27:  The Animal Husbandry Department Bandipora on Wednesday organized a cow distribution camp at Banyari. The camp was presided over by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. Mushtaq while as Officers from various Banks, Insurance Companies and a large number of progressive farmers were also present.
On the occasion Dr. Mushtaq said that 27 cases have been sanctioned on the spot for providing of cows- two each to a beneficiary under Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS). He said 6 beneficiaries have been given 12 cows in the camp while as other beneficiaries would get cows on Thursday. He informed that the cows are being provided on 25 percent subsidy to general category while as for ST category subsidy is 33.33 percent.

On the occasion it was given out that Bandipora District especially Banyari area has a good potential for cow rearing and milk production.
