Celebrity singer Balraj enthralls audience at Devotional Song Competition

KATRA, SEPTEMBER 23: All India Devotional Song Competition entered in second day late evening with several mesmerizing presentations by famous artists like Celebrity singer  Balraj at Yog Ashram Complex.

CMO Laxman Das, Senior Journalist Harbans Nagoke, Celebrity Singer and former winner of the competition Vibha Bharti, BMO Gopal Dutt, Deputy SPs Kulbir Honda, Subash Bhardwaj, Rakesh Wazir President Hotel Association ,Katra and Chairman All India Devotional Song Committee, Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand ji Maharaj,Virender Kesar and others were present on the ocassion.

In the preliminary round of competition, Reema Devi from Kanyala bagged 1st position and Sohani Sharma from Jammu clinched 2nd position while the 3rd position was held by Varsha Jamwal from Jammu, among the 10 auditioned participants in which 2 participants were from outside state and 8 participants were from within the state. The winners were presented cash prizes of Rs.10,000/- , Rs.5,000/-and Rs.3,000/-  respectively by Balraj in presence of other dignitaries.

The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by a panel of music experts including Dr.Usha Bhagat, Former HoD Music, Professor Parveen Sabharwal, Professor Music Department and V.K Samba and Retired Director All India Radio.

Balraj, known for his hit songs like Jan Te Bani, Candle light dinner, 3 saal da pyar etc., and Vibha Bharti winner of MH One Awaz Punjab Di enthralled the audience with their melodious songs.

The proceedings of Competition were conducted by Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition.

Famous Celebrity Singer Gulzar Lahoria will perform tomorrow.

The All India Devotional Song Competition is being organized by SMVD Shrine Board, Department of J&K Tourism and Shradha MH one in association with Shiv Khori Shrine Board, J&K Bank, Ramada City Center (now open) Jammu, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Pure Roots Herbal,  Nidhesh Builders Jammu Pvt.Ltd., 92.7 Big FM, ,District Administration and the local host Community.

The first position holders of daily competition will compete with the winners of the quarter final on 28th of Sept for their entry into final to be held on 29th Sept. and the quarter final will be held on 27th Sep. which will be of 2nd & 3rd position holders of daily competition.
