BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 16: District Development
Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora Sajad Hussain today inaugurated the 3-day J&K
State Senior Men Volleyball Championship at S.K Sports Stadium Bandipora.
As many as 17 teams from the state
including; J&K Police Service team, are participating in the championship.
The DDC interacted with the players. The inaugural match was played between
Bandipora and Jammu districts in which Jammu won by 2-1.
Chief Executive Officer State Volleyball Association, Secretary of
association, ADC Bandipora, general manager and chief engineer NHPC besides
officers from the district administration, president and others members of
District Volleyball Association and a good number of sports lovers were present
on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC while congratulating the organisers
said that it was a long demand of sports lovers to organize state level
championship at Bandipora, which full filled today. He said youth of this
district have a tremendous potential which they showcased by winning the
laurels at international level. He assured all possible support to the youth
for helping them in excelling in sports activities.
