PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 23: District
Development Commissioner, Pulwama Ghulam Muhammad Dar today chaired a review
meeting in which action taken report over the CM’S decisions were sought from
various departments and their implementation status.
Assistant commissioner Revenue, joint Director Planning and other
district officers were also present in the meeting.
Last week Chief Minister had chaired a Public Durbar at Pulwama in which
she had given on the spot directions to various officers of the district on
some important developmental projects.
During the meeting DDC discussed the developmental initiatives sketched
out for the district which includes augmentation of connectivity,
administrative infrastructure, healthcare facilities, educational
infrastructure, power, irrigation, horticulture and agriculture sector.
On the occasion DDC stressed the officers to accelerate the pace of work
so that the targets are achieved well in time.
Later on DDC also chaired another meeting to finalize the arrangements
made for Muharram days. The meeting was attended by SE PHE, JDP, engineers of
line departments and other district officers.
On the occasion the DDC was informed about the arrangements made in view
of the Muharram by different departments. Moreover emphasis was laid on
providing uninterrupted power and water supply, ration and other essential
commodities, sanitation besides threadbare discussion on security plan was also
held during the meeting. Provision of availability of round the clock medical
teams and ambulances was also discussed. The meeting was informed that repair
of inner link roads, where processions are going to be held during the Muharram
days, have also been completed.
Municipal committee and PDD were directed to ensure that the street
lights are in working condition on the roads leading to Imambaras. To ensure
cleanliness and hygiene, DDC directed for deployment of additional man power at
the venues where big processions are expected.
