KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 28: In line with multifarious activities being undertaken to keep the environment neat and clean under "Swachhata Hi Sewa" Campaign, the Government Degree College Kulgam today organised an Anti-Polythene march.  The NSS units (Boys and Girls) of the college organized the march from College campus to Ziyarat Road.
Besides, NSS volunteers,  the faculty and staff under the leadership of Principal GDC Kulgam, Prof. Bashir Ahmad Rather participated in the march. The polythene bags were collected from the pedestrians and in exchange cotton bags were provided to them by the NSS volunteers. In addition, polythene bags and other garbage was collected from the road and disposed of properly.

The march was organized to aware and sensitize the common masses about the harmful effects of polythene and to make Kulgam town polythene-free.
