Srinagar, September 16: As a part
of the campaign “Swachta Hi Seva” launched at National level, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) in
collaboration with Information Department, Kashmir division, today, started cleanliness
drive in the Lal Chowk area from Government Press
premises wherein Divisional Office of Information Department is housed.
The Officers of Information Department
and SMC including Joint Director Information, Kashmir, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Field
Publicity Officer, Kashmir, Mohammad Aslam Khan, Chief Sanitation Officer, SMC,
Sofi Mohammad Akbar, Ward Officer concerned Shahid Asrar besides other
officials of Information Department and SMC participated in the
drive.
On the occasion, the Joint Director said that purpose of the campaign is
to create a sense of hygiene among the citizen of the country for making all
places pollution free. He said that the programme started by Government of
India and here by State Government will leave a good impact on keeping our
environment clean and saving it from pollution. He said the campaign will
continue up to October 02, 2017 and hoped for its better out come.
