Inspects govt quarters, directs for starting face-lifting work
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 28: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Rohit Kansal
today chaired a meeting with senior officers of various departments to review
the arrangements for ensuing Durbar Move to the winter capital.
The
meeting was attended by Director Estates, Tasaduq Jeelani, Director Food, Civil
Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), R.A Inqalabi, Director
Floriculture, Babila Rakwal, Engineers of Estates, R&B, PHE, PDD, Deputy
Director Estates, Deputy Director Fire Services besides security officers and
other concerned officials.
During the meeting detailed discussion were held regarding residential
accommodations for move employees, besides sanitation and renovation works to
be taken up in Government Quarters and civil secretariat complex.
Kansal directed the Director Floriculture for face lifting of the
Secretariat lawns and beautification of roads in and around the Secretariat and
government residential colonies.
He asked FCS&CA department to ensure adequate supply of ration and
other essential commodities to move employees during their stay in Jammu.
He asked the officers of the concerned departments to ensure that the
renovation and repair work in all the Government residential colonies is
completed well in time, while facilities like drinking water, electricity etc
are made available.
He also stressed on better synergy among the department for putting in
place the arrangements for smooth functioning of offices.
Later, the Principal Secretary accompanied by Director Estates visited
various government quarters and inspected ongoing construction/repair and
renovation works.
The meeting also discussed security arrangements at Secretariat and
residential quarters for move employees in detail.
