BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 13: To strengthen the sanitation process
and to maintain the cleanliness in and around the places of public importance,
District Development Commissioner Baramulla Nasir Ahmed Naqash today convened a
meeting here to discuss various issues confronting in its implementation.
Meeting was attended by ADDC, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla,
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Joint Director planning AG Malik,
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief
Medical Officer and various other district and sectoral officers.
Threadbare discussion was held with respect to the implementation of
Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) wherein it was decided that a special fortnight
programme will be organized from 15-09-2017 to 02-10-2017.
Under the said programme, special cleanliness drives in various
institutions including schools, colleges, hospitals, tourist spots, public
parks and other vital places of public importance will be organized across the
district.
It was also decided that special programmes including seminars,
awareness camps, debates and other programmes conveying the message of hygiene
will be organized during the fortnight.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC highlighted the importance of
sanitation and its positive consequences and stressed upon the officers to
coordinate with each other so that the mission is realized in letter and
spirit.
