Srinagar, Sep 6: Life returned to normal after remaining crippled for two days due to strike against killing of two Hizbul Mujahideen militants in an encounter in north Kashmir, where class work has also resumed in all educational institutes today.
         However, business and other activities remained crippled in Kupwara’s Lolab area, which is the native place of one of the two militants killed on Monday.
         Spontaneous strike was observed in many parts of north Kashmir after two HM militants, including a Divisional Commander, a resident of Lolab in Handwara, were killed in an encounter with security forces in the apple township of Sopore in Baramulla on Monday.
         Shops and business establishments reopened this morning and traffic was plying on all routes normally though security forces and state police personnel remained deployed to prevent any untoward incident in twin districts of Kupwara and Baramulla.
         Meanwhile, all educational institutes, including schools and colleges, reopened this morning after remaining closed for two days as a precautionary measure in parts of north Kashmir. District authorities of Kupwara and Baramulla had yesterday ordered closure of educational institutes for the second successive day in Handwara and Sopore area respectively as a precautionary measure.
         On Monday, class work was suspended in Kupwara where people were protesting against alleged cutodial disappearance of youth Manzoor and thrashing of another Nassarullah by security forces. Fearing trouble, schools and colleges were closed.
       Army has also ordered inquiry while the District Magistrate (DM) has also directed conducting of magisterial inquiry of disappearance of Manzoor.
