Delhi, Sept 7: The Supreme Court today decided to hear on Monday the plea
filed by Aam Aadmi party (AAP) Spokesperson and leader, Raghav Chadha, seeking
expeditious hearing in the defamation case filed by the Union Finance Minister,
Arun Jaitley in the Delhi High Court. Senior Supreme Court lawyer Anand Grover,
mentioned this matter before the three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by
Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra, who decided to hear the matter on
Monday. Grover, before the three-judge bench of the apex court, mentioned and
sought quashing of the defamation proceedings for his act of allegedly
re-tweeting a post. The apex court three-judge bench, also comprising Justices
AM Khanwilkar and Amitava Roy, heard the mentioning by Grover in the case. Now
the matter would come up for hearing in the Supreme Court on Monday. UNI
