Sep 16: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu laid the foundation stone for the
Regional Vocational Training Institute (RVTI) for women at a function held here
today. Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural gas Dharmendra Pradhan and
Telangana Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy were among those present on the
occasion. The RVTI spread over four acres of land will train around 1,000
trainees annually and will offer courses in fashion design and technology,
architectural assistant, food and beverages, and service assistant among
others. Earlier on his arrival at Begumpet Airport, Mr.Naidu was accorded a
warm welcome. Traffic restrictions were imposed on several roads in the city in
view of the Vice President's visit. .UNI
