New Delhi, Oct 30: Around 100 Central Schools and Navodaya Vidyalayas will be opened in minority-dominated areas across the country in 2018, Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Monday. Addressing a seminar on Minorities’ participation in building “New India” here, Mr Naqvi said these schools will have trained teachers for which funds will be provided by his Ministry. He said after holding discussions with the officials of these schools it was decided to open around 100 schools as the government’s priority was providing education to all sections of the society. The Minister added that mid-day meals would be provided to students studying in Madrasas. Moreover, the government would give 100 percent fund for constructing toilets. Stating that school dropouts was maximum among minorities, Mr Naqvi said to 40 to 50 skill development institutes would be opened in the country and 75 percent of the students will get employment.
