New Delhi, Oct 30: Italy and India have common interest on key global and bilateral issues, including on terrorism and climate change, the visiting Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni said here on Monday and hoped that his visit will open opportunities to relaunch the bilateral ties. "We have common interest in global arena.....We are fighting together against terrorism, both share same views also on climate change," Mr Gentiloni told reporters here. He said he is "very happy to visit India" -- as it comes after a decade. "I hope this visit will give strong opportunity to relaunch the relationship," the visiting Italian Prime Minister said. He also visited Raj Ghat and offered floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday led the Indian side at the delegation level talks with his visiting Italian counterpart Paolo Gentiloni here and both sides "reviewed" entire spectrum of bilateral relationship. "Reviewing the entire spectrum of bilateral relationship. PM @narendramodi and Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni-led delegation-level talks," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted. Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on him and both the leaders had an "engaging discussion". Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, who arrived here on Sunday, was also given a ceremonial reception at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday morning. UNI
