Hanjura conducts public durbar at Charari Sharief

‘97 kms road macdamised in Chadoora-Charari Sharief constituencies during current fiscal’

BUDGAM, OCTOBER 9: The Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura has said that nearly 97 kms of road length has been macadamized in Chadoora, Charari Sharief constituencies during the current year. He said same achievements are targeted in other developmental sectors presently going on in constituencies under various schemes.

The Minister said this while addressing a public darbar at Charari Sharief convened to have face to face interaction with the locals to ascertain about their grievances.

The Minister accompanied by DDC Budgam, Mohammed Haroon Malik appreciated the role of District Administration in achieving targets almost in all sectors. He hoped that remaining work will be completed by the end of December 2017. During the interaction many demands were put forth before the Minister particularly construction of Charari Sharief -Tilsara road, macadamization of Alamdar Road, beautification of the Shrine, fencing around Khankah and improvement of drainage system in Charari Sharief town.

The Minister said Government headed by Chief Minister (CM) Mehbooba Mufti is committed for their overall development of the State who is taking keen interest for the development of Charari Sharief town.

The Minister said aim and objective of the Government is to give utmost attention towards overall development of all sections and area in the constituency.

Hanjura said keeping in view the urgent need of Shopping Complex at Charar i Sharief Rs two cr will be provided for its construction. Similarly, the Minister announced Rs 25 lacs will be provided for development of lift irrigation facility at Arzan, Garzan in order to facilitate more irrigation facilities to the connected areas. Speaking about the drainage facilities in the town the Minister assured that fast track measures will be initiated in improving the drainage system in the area as the issue has been put on priority.

Speaking about the beautification of Holy Shrine, the Minister said that concerned authorities have been directed to complete the necessary work before the commencement of annual urs.
