Agartala,
Oct 12: The BJP general secretary Ram Madhav and Chairman of Northeast
Democratic Alliance (NEDA) and finance minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma
to discuss the poll strategies including finalising alliance with tribal based
Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra (INPT) and review the progress of poll
preparation following the changing situation of state politics. While INPT
offered their willingness to forge alliance with BJP to fight against
communist, IFPT left the option to go for alliance with BJP only after they
agree to support the separate state demand for tribal. However, BJP directly
turned down IPFT’s proposition and made it clear that they would not go for any
conditional alliance with any party. Mr Ram Madhav will go on a tour of
different parts of the state to monitor ground realities ahead of the assembly
polls and BJP’s preparedness for it. The BJP leaders said the Prime Minister
Narendra Modi will visit the state in two phases in the run up to the polls. In
the first phase, Mr Modi will address two rallies in two parts of the state
while in the second and last phase he will again address as many rallies, BJP
leaders said adding that party chief Amit Shah will tour the state length and
breadth of the state during his phased visits and inspire party workers and
supporters for success in the upcoming assembly polls slated to come off in
February next year. On the other, INPT has also rejected the proposal of
congress to go for poll alliance and indicated their willingness to go for
electoral tie-up with BJP to fight against left front in Tripura. UNI
