KARGIL, OCTOBER 28: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Haji Gulzar Hussain today
chaired a meeting to review arrangements of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain
(A.S) to be observed on November 10.
The meeting reviewed arrangements for Chehlum processions and
congregations to be held across Kargil town and other areas of the district.
Additional SP Kargil Arun Gupta, representatives of Islamia School Kargil (ISK)
and Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Kargil besides the district officers
attended the meeting.
Issues pertaining to the deployment of magistrates, establishment of
control room, uninterrupted power supply, water supply, supply and distribution
of ration, availability and deployment of doctors and ambulances, medical
facilities, traffic management, PAS system, sanitation of roads from where
processions will pass, security, traffic management besides other necessary
arrangements were discussed threadbare.
The
Deputy Commissioner discussed extensively the arrangements put in place and
directed the concerned departments to make requisite arrangements well in time so as to ensure the smooth conduct of mourning congregations and
processions.
He also stressed on better coordination among the religious
organizations and Departments so that all possible service delivery can be
ensured in the district during observance of Chehlum.
