SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 28: The
Department of Statistics and Evaluation today released four books at
mini-secretariat Arhama Shopian.
The books titled District Statistical Handbook 2016-2017, Village
Amenity Directory 2016-2017, District at a Glance 2016-2017 and Economic Review
2016-2017 were released on the ocassion.
District Development Commissioner, Mohamad Aijaz Asad said that these
books have been meticulously prepared by the Department and contains latest
data and status about the district. He said that the data
will benefit planners, Scholars, Researchers, Students
and other stake holders. He hailed the efforts of the concerned officials for
preparing and presenting these books.
On the occasion the DDC asked the concerned officers to cooperate with
the Statistics Department and furnish them correct data so that welfare
programmes and schemes are made for the overall development of the district
accordingly.
Chief Planning Officer Shopian, Assistant Commissioner Revenue,
District Statistical and Evaluation Officer besides district and sectoral
officers were present in the function.
