RAMBAN, OCTOBER 04: A team of District administration Ramban led by Deputy Commissioner Tariq Hussain Ganai, conducted an extensive tour of Mahu-Mangat to listen to the peoples issues and assess the developmental requirements including basic amenities in the area.
 The team comprising ADC Gurvinder Jit Singh, Tehsildar Khari and several others officers   inspected ongoing developmental works taken up under various projects of state and centre.
The team of officers also listened to peoples issues during a grievance redress camp held at Mahu. The people from villages Mangit, Kawana, Khari and other remote and least communicated habitations projected their demands. 
The people apprised the DDC about various problems and difficulties faced by them including shortage of drinking water, poor condition of power infrastructure, lack of lanes and drains, Health facility, irregularity in the release of old age pension, blacktopping of roads and buildings, non availability of timber and fire wood and updating of BPL list and development of Mahu Mangit as a tourist destination. 
Responding to issues, the DDC directed SDM to look into the issue of electricity bills being served to un-electrified households, while range officer forest was directed to camp in the area for providing timber and firewood to public as per their requirements.
He further directed the officers to remain in contact with the people and pay regular visits in all remotest areas to build public confidence by providing prompt services. H also asked them to ensure quality of development works and create mass awareness about state and centre government schemes.

Meanwhile, the DDC ordered for on spot redress of most of highlighted problems. He directed district officers for resolving all the issues projected by the locals. He assured public that their genuine demands would be met soon.
