DSEK inspects Srinagar exam centers

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 25: Director School Education Kashmir Dr G. N. Itoo today inspected several examination centers of district Srinagar regarding the conduct of T-2 examinations for 8^th and 9^th classes which commenced from today. He was accompanied by officers of the department. Director expressed satisfaction over the arrangements already emplaced for the smooth and fair conduct of the examination.

While inspecting the examination centers at GHSS Rajbagh and GHSS Kothibagh Director directed the institutional heads to conduct the examinations in a fair and hassle free manner.

Pertinent to mention here that these examinations are conducted by State Institute of Education Kashmir for the whole Kashmir division including Ladakh. State Institute of Education Kashmir has made elaborate arrangements for holding these examinations smoothly for which as many as 1112 Centers have been established for the class 8^th while as 979 Centers have been setup for the class 9th examinations.

In this regard Director School Education said that for the first time the examinations for these classes are being conducted on Paper Leaning Outcomes based system. In Kashmir Division 87403 students of class 8^th and 56130 students of class 9^th are appearing in these examinations.
