DODA, OCTOBER 07: An
electoral awareness camp was held here today in connection with the Special
Summary Revision of photo Electoral rolls.
It was informed that as per the directions of Election
Commission of India the qualifying date for registration under special summary
revision of photo electoral rolls has been fixed as January 1,
2018.
The revised date for the draft publication of electoral rolls has been
set as October 03 and period for filing of claims and objections has been set
as October 03 to November 01.
The dates for Reading of relevant part and selection of photo electoral
rolls in Gram Sabha, Local Bodies and RWA meeting and verification of names
would be held on October 04 and October 18.
The
special campaign dates with Booth Level Agents of political parties for
receiving claims and objections is fixed on October 14 and October 21 and
disposal of claims and objections would be completed onNovember 30.
Updating the database, merging of photographs, updating the control
tables and preparation and printing of supplementary list is to be done by December
15 and the final publication of Electoral Rolls would be published on 01 January
2018.
The participants were informed that individuals who have attained the
age of 18 years or above as on 01-01-2018 can get
their names enrolled in electoral rolls besides any other change in electoral
rolls can be done by filling appropriate forms before the concerned BLO.
