BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 14: A public durbar was today held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Sajjad Hussain, at Ganastan Sumbal, during which problems and demands of people were listened and various decisions were taken.
MLC Yasir Reshi, officers from Health, R&B, PHE, Social Welfare, ISM, Forest, Sheep, Animal Husbandry, Education, Rural Development, Irrigation, Horticulture, Agriculture, FCS&CA, Transport, and ICDS besides a large number of people were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, public representatives identified their problems and requested for early fulfilment of their demands.
During the camp, it was given out that fruit trees costing Rs. 430 each are being provided free of cost to those farmers whose orchards were damaged due to floods in 2014. Various decisions with regard to irrigation facilities and supply of timber were also taken during the camp.

The DDC and MLC assured the people that their genuine demands would be fulfilled in a phased manner even as they asked the concerned officers to work to ensure redressal of grievances raised on the occasion on priority.
