SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 07: Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today said the battle of Karbala taught mankind to remain patient in hardships and endurance for advocating cause of truth.
The Minister was speaking at a day-long remembrance function held to
pay tributes to Karbala Martyrs at Shalimar organized by Jammu and Kashmir Shia
Association.
Ansari highlighted the philosophy of Karbala and said that the battle of
Karbala has taught the entire humanity to be steadfast against falsehood and
injustice.
He said the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his pious
companions in Karbala teaches self-sacrifice, steadfastness toward truth and
defending self-esteem.
Earlier, the function started with the recitation of the Holy Quran
followed by the elegies by prominent Zakirs.
Later, the Minister led the procession in which men, women and children
participated to pay homage to Martyrs of Karbala.
