Leopard stops work at Maruti Suzuki plant in Manesar

Gurugram, Oct 5: A leopard strayed into the Maruti Suzuki plant at Manesar here in the wee hours of Thursday, forcing the authorities to scrap the morning shift. According to the authorities, the big cat was first spotted in the factory at around 0400 hrs. The latest CCTV footage of the plant located the animal near the engine room of the factory. There were no workers on the factory premises when the big cat entered, but the plant's security guards and transport department staff were present. Officials from the Forest department, apart from policemen, have rushed to the factory to rescue the animal. Authorities have asked the staff members not to enter the complex. Around 2,000 workers have gathered outside the complex, waiting for their shift to begin. Police have evacuated and sealed the area. Around 100 policemen were guarding the premises, they added. UNI
