Mohammad Mir, Vice Chairman J&K Small Scale Industries Development
Corporation Ltd., called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.
Sh. Mir informed the Governor about the activities being pursued by the
Corporation to ensure uniform and sustained growth of the SSI sector in the
State.
Governor advised Sh. Mir to urgently initiate the required steps to
encourage start- ups and also bring an increasing number of entrepreneurs
within the ambit of its marketing scheme. Governor stressed the Corporation’s
responsibility to support the local handicrafts industry by supplying quality
raw materials and procuring the finished products. He also cautioned that the
Corporation must strictly follow the Board meetings and AGM are held timely and
regularly in accordance with the Companies Act.
